Games & Activities Please advise our Catering Manager if you are planning to arrange games during your event. For the safety of our animals we cannot have any type of object that is being thrown or could float away (i.e. balloons, balls, Frisbees). Costumed entertainers must enter through the service entrance to avoid direct contact with exhibited animals. A list of all subcontractors must be supplied to the catering department along with contact people and phone numbers.
Souvenirs
We will gladly help you to arrange having any Zoo souvenirs or gifts that you may want to issue as prizes at your event. Items must be purchased prior to the event at the retail stores on the Zoo grounds. Ask your event coordinator about receiving a 10% discount. Payment is required at time of purchase. Please call ahead for details.

Birds of Prey Special "Birds of Prey" shows or presentations may be scheduled for your event at an additional cost. We can also arrange special talks on a variety of zoo related subjects by animal caretakers or other zoo staff. Please ask the Catering Office for further information and scheduling. Shows and presentations held around the Zoo during regular zoo hours are at no additional cost. |
Train Tickets Train tickets are a wonderful addition to any event. These must be purchased prior to the event day and will be mailed to you. A 20% discount applies to groups of 20 or more. Guests may purchase their own tickets the actual event day, but please note that the 20% discount will not apply to tickets purchased in this manner.
Bands If you are considering booking a band to perform on the concert stage or elsewhere on the Zoo grounds, please be aware of our sound variance, which must not exceed 85 decibels. All sound arrangements must be coordinated by the Catering Manager. Due to our concern for our nearby neighbors, please contact the Catering Department for the specific times music must cease from the different venues. A $250.00 charge will apply for the usage of the stage and dressing room area. Please be aware that the concert stage is not available for performances during regular zoo hours. |
