A. Parties are scheduled at 11a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. |
| Q. How many parties do you do in a day? |
A. We limit parties to 3 per day |
| Q. Is there a minimum number of party guests? |
A. Yes, eight kids minimum |
| Q. How much is admission? |
A. Adults, $9.00; Seniors, $7.50; Youth (3-11), $6.00;
2 & under, Free |
| Q. May I purchase tickets in advance? |
A. Yes. Call the zoo office at 503-226-1561 with your VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card, and we will mail your tickets to you, or hold them at will call in the zoo office. |
| Q. Are there any discounts? |
A. Yes. There is a 20% discount for a group of 20 or more when payment is made at one time. |
| Q. Are train rides available? |
A. Yes. Prices vary seasonally. |
| Q. What type of cake is offered? |
A. A 1/4 sheet cake, which serves 12-16. Your choice of white cake w/white frosting, or chocolate cake w/chocolate frosting. Decorated with a picture of our animals. |
| Q. May we bring our own food for the party? |
A. Yes, but there is no discount in price. |
| Q. May we bring our own cake? |
A. Yes, but there is no discount in price. |
| Q. May we decorate the party "hut"? |
A. Yes, but no balloons or anything taped or tacked to the wall. |
| Q. May we use the party "hut" for more than an hour? |
A. Yes, but there is an additional $25.00 an hour charge for the small hut and $45.00 an hour for the large hut. |
| Q. May we store presents in the party "hut" while we tour the zoo? |
A. We cannot accept responsibility for these items. We recommend that you return to your car and store them there. |
| Q. Do zoo members receive discounts? |
A. Yes. Zoo members receive a 10% discount on the total bill. |
| Q. Are there menu options for adults? |
A. Yes. The AfriCafe menu includes burgers, sandwiches, soup and salads, or pre-order pizza when booking party. |
| Q. Will we be escorted to the AfriCafe party hut? |
A. No. There is a "zoomer" available on a first come first served basis. |
| Q. Is the AfriCafe terrace available to rent for birthday parties? |
A. No, the terrace is reserved for catered events only. |
