Corporate Sponsorship Internship

Its a jungle out there...Why not prepare for it with an internship at the zoo?

Job Description: We are looking for a college senior, or graduate with course work in public administration, marketing, communications, and/or public relations for 8-10 hours per week, 10 week long internship.

What you would do as an intern...
The Corporate Sponsorship intern would assist the Corporate Relations Manager with a variety of projects and events. Possible assignments include:

  • Writing news releases for development/donor-related media announcements
  • Writing articles on corporate donors for print and web-based communication tools
  • Developing materials and promotional packages for corporate partners
  • Researching potential corporate support for the zoo
  • Assembling sponsor reports
  • Phone calls to companies to update contact names
  • Reading media clippings and scanning for corporate sponsor mentions
  • Preparing proposals to potential donors
  • Taking photographs for sponsor recognition at events and exhibits
  • Coordinating special projects and events

  2. What kind of course work and/or experience do you have that would make you a valuable intern?
  3. In what areas are you most interested in attaining experience through this internship?
