PACKY PREMIER PRESS
Packy, Portlands prize pachyderm entered the world amidst a fanfare of spectators and media attention. News of his birth quickly spread to all corners of the globe from nearby Canada to Western Europe, Africa and down under to Australia. Packys likeness graced the cover of Life magazine, which did an 11-page spread on his birth, as well as four more pages published in Italys version of the magazine. His birth was covered in the United States in at least 30 publications including:
