If the attendance for your event drops below 50% of the original expected attendance, the zoo reserves the right to reassign your event to an appropriate space. * Please Note: There is a non-smoking policy for all indoor areas.
No where else can you find private facilities in such a lively and active public place. Enjoy the benefits of the zoo grounds while being undisturbed in a private Banquet Room.
Like a private lodge in Portlands favorite playground, the New Cascade Crest Banquet Center is now open and ready to host your special event. Big, bold, high-tech, yet intimate in Cascadian style, the room accommodates up to 450 people beneath lofty fifteen foot ceilings. If you require smaller spaces consider the Vista or Skyline dining areas.
The AfriCafe also provides banquet and event space, offering both indoor and outdoor seating.
If you are planning on a big group, up to 5000, the zoo has plenty of Picnic Areas to accommodate the crowd. The Picnic Pavilion at 40X100 feet is large enough to keep you out of the rain.
For summer concert and elegant events, reserve the zoo Patios and Terraces for formal intimacy surrounded by summertime jazz and real party animals.

Visual aids such as TV, VCR, flip charts, screens and projectors are available. Arrangements can be made through the Catering Office.Fees are as follows (per day):
