Relax and enjoy the most important day of your life in our unique and beautiful setting. We'll assist you in planning both your wedding ceremony and reception. On the most memeorable day of your life, let us handle the work and worry while you bask in the loving attention of family and friends.

Ceremony Facilities

We offer both indoor and outdoor sites for your wedding ceremony. The Skyline Room of the Cascade Crest Banquet Center can accommodate up to 200 people for the ceremony (theater-style seating) with your reception following in the Vista Room. The room fee includes set-up, uniformed staff for serving, banquet chairs, choice of linens, china, flatware and glassware, and event clean up.

The Elephant Plaza Lawn offers a lush outdoor setting for your ceremony. Our beautifully landscaped garden area can handle groups up to 550. The site fee includes set up, an 8' X 8' riser with microphone and sound system, a white lattice arch, bistro chairs, choice of house linens, high grade paper and plasticware for your food and beverage service and and uniformed staff.

Free spirited and fun, or elegant and graceful, your wedding at the zoo will be the celebration of a lifetime.

The catering department at the Zoo is so detail orientated that we like to take away all the stress and headaches involved in planning your special day. Based upon our experience in wedding planning, we would like to offer the following suggestions.

  • If you wish to hold the ceremony outdoors the best time to do this is after 6:30 p.m., at which point most of the regular zoo visitors have left the grounds. The zoo closes at 7 p.m., so you and your guests can enjoy complete privacy.
  • Please do not hesitate to take advantage of our experience in reception menu planning, as we will gladly provide menu suggestions based upon your requirements.
  • Please let us know of any dietary restrictions that need to be observed, and if any of your guests are physically challenged and need special assistance.
  • To ensure a memorable occasion and a trouble free function we ask that you coordinate with the catering department all the timing of your event, for example; ceremony commencement, food service, champagne toast, cake cutting, etc.
