Bear Fair $2,500 - $7,500
Saturday, March 22, 2003
Come out of hibernation just in time for spring break. Children are invited to bring their teddy bears to this entertaining and educational event for check up and repairs by Zoo vets at our Teddy Bear repair station. While visiting the Zoo's three bear exhibits and activity stations, they will learn interesting facts about bears and bear habitats.

Packys Birthday $5,000 - $10,000
Saturday closest to April 14
A birthday celebration for Packy, the first elephant born at the Zoo. Guests sing to Packy while he eats his special cake; games and crafts for kids, cake for visitors, too.

Rabbit Romp $3,000 - $10,000
Third Saturday in April
This spring eggstravaganza for children provides candy egg hunts, games, crafts, whimsical displays and a petting Zoo. Favorite rabbit tales are brought to life in the Rabbits Garden, where youngsters can meet characters from Alice in Wonderland. Costumed bunnies are on hand to give hugs.

Mom & Me $1,000 booths
Sunday, May 4
The first-ever Mom & Me event at the Oregon Zoo will take place the Sunday before Mother's Day. The fun and festive event will include unique activities for the whole family.

Celebrating Wildflowers $2,500 - $7,500
Saturday, May 17
Join the Burearu of Land Management at the Zoo for this fun and beautiful celebraton of native wildflowers in the Northwest. Fun for everyone includes interesting exhibits, children's activities and craft projects, information about nature-scaping your garden in order to attract wildlife, and sceneic tours of the Zoo's native plants. Free with Zoo admission.

Summer Concerts $110,000
June August: Wednesday and Thursday nights and selected Friday and Saturday nights
Each summer, thousands of Oregon Zoo visitors enjoy great music on the Zoos concert lawn. More than 25 weekday and weekend concerts feature premium musical performers. Picnicking is encouraged during these family-oriented musical programs.

Come and meet the real Marvel superhero Spider-Man! Spider-Man will be available for meet & greet and photo opportunites, plus meet some of the Zoo's exciting spider residents. Free with Zoo admission.

Third Saturday Night in July
Our annual gala is a top-drawer fundraising event with a different theme each year. Featuring live music, the best of the Northwests fresh restaurant fare, silent auction and dancing.

Senior Safari Day $2,500 - $7,500
Third Tuesday in September
This event provides free admission, train rides and light refreshments for seniors and their escorts. Entertainment is provided by and for seniors. Community service organizations join Zoo volunteers and staff to provide an enjoyable day at the Zoo.

World Animal Festival $10,000 - $20,000
Two weekends in September / October
A multi-cultural celebration of animals, World Animal Festival is an exciting showcase of how animals are revered and celebrated by different cultures around the world. Cultural groups present their versions of animal folklore including performance art, interactive displays, art exhibits, craft projects and educational activities.

Howloween at the Zoo $10,000 - $20,000
Last Weekend in October
Howloween at the Zoo is an educational, fun, safe and unique setting for trick-or-treating. Trick-or-treaters complete an intriguing scavenger hunt including activity stations in order to collect candy and prizes.

ZooLights Festival $10,000 - $30,000
Month of December
A tradition since 1986, the ZooLights Festival is the Oregon Zoos celebration of the holiday season, and the premier holiday event in the area. The Zoo displays more than a half million lights of all colors and sizes to illuminate the Zoo and create animated animal silhouettes. More than 60,000 people come to the Zoo during the ZooLights Festival.
