 Bear Fair $2,500 - $7,500Saturday, March 22, 2003Come out of hibernation just in time for spring break. Children are invited to bring their teddy bears to this entertaining and educational event for check up and repairs by Zoo vets at our Teddy Bear repair station. While visiting the Zoo's three bear exhibits and activity stations, they will learn interesting facts about bears and bear habitats.
 back to top Packys Birthday $5,000 - $10,000Saturday closest to April 14A birthday celebration for Packy, the first elephant born at the Zoo. Guests sing to Packy while he eats his special cake; games and crafts for kids, cake for visitors, too.
 back to top Rabbit Romp $3,000 - $10,000Third Saturday in AprilThis spring eggstravaganza for children provides candy egg hunts, games, crafts, whimsical displays and a petting Zoo. Favorite rabbit tales are brought to life in the Rabbits Garden, where youngsters can meet characters from Alice in Wonderland. Costumed bunnies are on hand to give hugs.

 back to top Celebrating Wildflowers $2,500 - $7,500Saturday, May 17Join the Burearu of Land Management at the Zoo for this fun and beautiful celebraton of native wildflowers in the Northwest. Fun for everyone includes interesting exhibits, children's activities and craft projects, information about nature-scaping your garden in order to attract wildlife, and sceneic tours of the Zoo's native plants. Free with Zoo admission.

Cultural groups present their versions of animal folklore including performance art, interactive displays, art exhibits, craft projects and educational activities.

 back to top ZooLights Festival $10,000 - $30,000Month of DecemberA tradition since 1986, the ZooLights Festival is the Oregon Zoos celebration of the holiday season, and the premier holiday event in the area. The Zoo displays more than a half million lights of all colors and sizes to illuminate the Zoo and create animated animal silhouettes. More than 60,000 people come to the Zoo during the ZooLights Festival.
